EP core application and dimensions
The EP ferrite core range was specially designed for wideband transformer applications. The shape of the assembly is almost cubical, allowing high packing densities on the PCB. The winding except the bottom is completely surrounded by ferrite. Shielding from neighboring cores is therefore excellent. The bobbins have two rows of pins allowing easy design of multiple output transformers. Cores are available in high permeability materials for wideband transformers and in power materials for small power transformers.
